The aim of education is not imparting of bookish knowledge only but to make the youth good
citizens by bringing about their mental, physical and social development. To accord proper
place to the various co-curricular activities in the education is the order of the day.
Co-curricular activities which must incorporate the spirit of cooperation to produce
social impact Co-curricular activities are divided into two categories. The first
constitutes developing in him the social spirit and in the second category are those which
have a great bearing upon mental development. The first includes games, sports, physical
exercise, N.C.C., N.S.S. and those activities of the monitorial guides that relate to
physical development.
The second includes the Theater, fine arts,
Music and literary practices bring the institution closer to society, contribute to the
mental development and creating an aesthetic sense in the students. In the Co-curricular
activities, the students participate on a community basis, which give them an experience
of art awareness as also develops in them the virtues of good citizenship. |

All the activities indent the horizon of their mental
makeup as well as inculcates the spirit of dutifulness, self-control, tolerance, and
ability to discharge their responsibilities and a tone of also created in them.
The physical activities develop sportsmanship whereas
literary, art and culture activities bring them nearer to societal needs, developing
ethnic culture and compass towards the under privileged. Our college occupies focal point
of Co-curricular activities amongst all colleges affiliated to Rani Durgavati University. |
Cultural Activities (Stage)
The college is playing lead role
in organizing district level, Interdistrict leveI, State level, and Inter Universities
Youth Festivals almost everyyear as well as West Zone Inter Universities Youth Fertivals
twice in 1994 & 1999.
It is nostalgic
to remember and tell everyone around that, The Great old Man of Indian Cinema "Dada
Muni" Padmashree Ashok Kumarji and buoyant hero Premnath were the the students of the
then Robertson College (Parent College of present Govt. Science College.)
The College gives admission to science students only but has produced excellent Theatre
artists, Classical singers, Instrumentalists, Dancers, Orators and Painters. These
students have proved their mettle at vaious occassions and competitions. |

National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.)
College
has well established NCC programme in different branches as Armed,
Artillery, Signals and Navy. NCC Signals training Facility, is also available for girls.
It is compulsory for the B.Sc. first year students to opt either NCC or NSS. These Cadets
attend the Basic Leadership,
Independence day and Republic day camps. Some students of the our college are selected
every year for the Independence Day camp at New Delhi, and large number of boy & girls
NCC cadets are selected in different branches of armed forces.
