A. Dr. Smt. Abha Pandey

The present Head of the Department has completed 26 years of her service. She obtained her Ph. D. degree on "An Analysis of Technique in the Novels of R.K. Narayan" in 1993.

  • Completed a minor research project sponsored by UGC entitled "Needs of English for Science Students at Graduate Level" in the year 1998.
  • Presently working on a major research project sponsored by UGC, New Delhi entitled "Effect of Learning Through Foreign Language on Indian Diaspora in Mauritius". She has visited Mauritius in June 2005 for conducting a survey on young Indo Mauritians regarding their socio cultural lives.
  • Associated with Academic Staff College, Rani Durgavati Vishvavidyalaya Jabalpur as a resource person for refresher courses in English.
  • Counselor at IGNOU for course in Teaching English and at Distance Learning Centre, RDVV for BCA course.

  • Submitted her thesis on ‘The Songs of Geetanjali: A Critical Study’ in December 2004.
  • Completed one Orientation Course in December 1997 and a Refresher Course in English, on ‘Indian Writings in English’ in Feb 2005 from                   A.S.C. Jabalpur.
  • Completed another Refresher Course in Computer Application from November 20th to December 9th 2007 from A.S.C. Jabalpur.
  • Attended National Conference and Seminar in Commerce and Chemistry respectively at Government P.G. College Mandla. (M.P.)

C. Mrs Rajshree Saberio (Kapoor) (Tel: 0761 4045411)

  • 6 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor.
  • Completed her Orientation Course held from A.S.C. Jabalpur
  • Attended ‘National Conference on Integrated Human Sciences’ held at Government Model Science College Jabalpur in December 2005.
  • Participated in National Seminar on ‘Women Empowerment’ at Hitkarni Girls College Jabalpur in 2002.
  • Completed Refresher Course in Multiculturalism: New Approaches to Indian English Writings from October 30th to November 21st 2007 held at ASC, Sant Tukdoji Maharaj, Nagpur University.
  • Initiated her research work in ‘Gandhian Impact on the Major Novels of Mulk Raj Anand’.
  • Worked as asst. coordinator for the short-term course in Communicative English under CPE Scheme of UGC, New Delhi.

                A. Ms Nidhi Nema

    • Worked as project fellow for the Major Research Project in English entitled "Effect of Learning Through Foreign Language on Indian Diaspora in Mauritius" sponsored by UGC New Delhi.
    • A registered research scholar pursuing her PhD on "Ironic Vision of Society in the Works of Upamanyu Chatterjee" under the guidance of Dr Abha Pandey.
    • Presented paper jointly with Dr Abha Pandey entitled "Foreign Foliage on Indian Roots: Indian Diasporic Writings at the National Seminar on Indian Diasporic Writings: Problems and Prospects to be held on February 23 and 24, 2007 at Government TRS College, Rewa. (M.P.)
    • Attended International Conference on "Protest and Aftermath in Post colonial Literature" at RDVV, Jabalpur, in August 2004.
    • Attended Workshop in RDVV Jabalpur on Research Methodology in April 2004
